Cost
- The 2024 fee, including full board, accommodation and all tuition, is £870.
- The non-
residential fee is £650, including lunch and dinner. - Non-
participant partners are welcome to share your room at a cost of £470 for accommodation and meals. - There is a discount of £50 for those who bring a harpsichord or spinet and tune it daily.
- Booking opens on 1st December. En-
suite bedrooms are normally allocated to those who apply first, but last year they were fully allocated on the first day of bookings. If necessary, lots will be drawn amongst all applications received (with the £100 deposit) by 5pm on Friday 1st December 2023 to determine order of application and therefore to allocate bedrooms. There is no advantage gained by applying before 1st December. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available. Please complete the application form (below) even if you have attended before, as there are new questions about your preferences. - Despite many increases in costs, we want to avoid raising the course fees wherever possible. Consequently, we have decided your fee will now cover just the basic costs of board, accommodation, tutors’ remuneration, and administration. Separately and in addition, we are asking participants (all those that feel able) to make a further voluntary contribution of £50 (or more) towards the cost of up to ten bursaries and the provision of extra keyboard instruments (organ etc.) Splitting this element helps us to continue to offer places to the bursary students who add so much to Baroque Week and, importantly, if you are a UK taxpayer this enables us to claim further substantial Gift Aid support from the government. Many thanks to those who have already made donations this year to this fund.
- We can only accept a maximum of 10 specialist singers, and will not confirm these places until February. However please still apply as soon as possible, as knowing who is applying will help us to plan repertoire and groupings, as well as giving you the chance of an ensuite bedroom. We will of course refund your deposit in full if we are unable to accept your application.
Please send a deposit of £100 with your application and the balance by 1st June.

It may be possible to attend for part of the week — please contact us to discuss this. However you may not gain the benefit of taking full part in the course; also you may need to book into a local B&B unless we have spare bedrooms on the school site, and we will not be able to confirm this until shortly before the course.
Please note that Baroque Week is a course for adults. If you will be under 18 years old at the start of the course please ask for our Young Student Permission Form, which requires your parent/guardian (or a named adult known to them) to be present at the course.
